Kay Pictures supports overseas charity eye projects

Kay Pictures is pleased to have been able to support many charitable causes and recently has donated equipment to help with overseas visits and charities in 16 different countries. Some of the projects that have been supported are shown below. Kay Pictures book sets have been provided to all the charities listed on this page and the pictures show the Kay Picture tests being put to good use.

Anandpur Outreach - India December 2008

Eyes for East Africa, Kwale District Eye Centre, Kwale, Mombasa, Kenya

Sight Savers UK sponsors an orthoptic programme to assist Colombo Eye Hospital in Sri Lanka. Kay Pictures has supported this programme by donating some Kay Picture vision test books.

Vision 2020 programme in Ethiopa. The aim of the people going on this trip was to help train doctors in the treatment of amblyopia and carry out vision assessments on children. Kay pictures donated some equipment in January 2010.

Fife Society for the Blind visited Tanzania where they went to train teachers of the blind and also visit a school in Mwanza where they were going to test upto 90 albino children. The trip was undertaken in February 2009.

Eye Hospital at Blantyre in Malawi. Visit carried out by Consultant Ophthalmologist early 2009.

Dihlabeng Church in Clarens, South Africa. Kay Pictures Single LogMAR booksets sent to assist them with their screening of children.
