Single LogMAR Book Set
The Kay Picture Test single LogMAR book set allows accurate LogMAR scoring of visual acuity with very young children. Familiar pictures are presented one at a time in a flip-over book format allowing quick, easy testing in a fun game.
The eight pictures are easily recognised and named by children sometimes as young as eighteen months. They are among the first words to be acquired by children and can be named, signed, or matched.
The pictures measure vision in the same way as Snellen's letters and therefore have a direct, reliable, and consistent relationship with letter acuity, shown to be within one Snellen size. See our research page for more information.
The test is designed for use at three metres (10 feet), with LogMAR sizes ranging from 1.00 (3/30 or 10/100 Snellen) to 0.00 (3/3 or 10/10 Snellen) with a choice of three or four different pictures at each of the eleven acuity levels. A side index allows you to choose the size and picture before flipping the page to face the child.
